After looking for solutions to back-up my iPod, I realize that the problem is not the applications used. The speed up/down is >1Mbps on USB 2.0
It's a 5.5G 80GB Video.

Disk Utilty? Check. System Profiler? Check. Senuti, PathFinder, SuperDuper, CarbonCopy, everything else? Check

Something is causing the speed to be so slow and I don't know what. The cord works, albeit slow as hell, so I don't think it's that...is it?

I've also tried block copies to avoid fragment-slowdowns. Same problem.

Does anybody have some insight they could share with me? If I can't fix this, I'll have to to a 2-day-straight backup at this speed, then restore it/reload it.

There must be a simpler way

Need more info...
What kind of computer? What OS version? How full is the iPod? What port are you plugging it into (USB 2.0 on the machine itself, on the keyboard, on an expansion card)?
Why back up the iPod? Is all the music not already in iTunes?
