I was wondering, since the iphone, apple tv, and ipod touch have mac os x, does that mean they will get updates soon after leopard is released? i guess my real question, is the os on the iphone (or others) a variant of 10.4 and will that need to get updated to a variant of 10.5?

Its almost a sure thing we'll see an iPhone update at the end of October sometime. So far, we've seen an update each month, and with Leopard being release on the 26th, there just has to be another update.
As for which version of OS X is on the iPhone, I have no idea really. I assume its currently 10.4, but not sure if they'll bump it to 10.5 or not. But I would assume that they'd have to if they are going to integrate the new iCal and Notes and such that 10.5 brings.
I can't wait! It should be a pretty good end of the month!
