.mac mail won't sync with iPhone

	My iPhone won't sync 'Sent' or 'Trash' items with my .mac account. I've set the preferences in the Advance tab to save sent messages and trash on the server. However all the emails sent from my iPhone never appear in that folder. If I send a message from my computer it appears on the computer, server and iPhone. Kind of frustrated because a few days of emails have gone missing! I've resorted to using another account to send emails from and that works as it should. Any suggestions?
