Just get iSquint. It's Mac-like simple and works. Best of all, it's free.
That said, I'm sure there have already been dozens of threads on this topic. Including some nasty spam attempts. I hope this is not another one.

Oh, no.
Serverin's spam attempt was over here: http://forums.macnn.com/103/ipod-iph...t/#post3524586
Amusingly, the idiot spammer forgot to add a link.

There is the recurring iPod/iPhone video conversion spammer, but serverin seems to be asking genuine questions and returns to the thread.

Quicktime Pro is the easiest. Has an export for iPhone option.

There needs to be a stickie thread at the top that has all the FAQ info for movie conversion always at the top, hopefully reducing innocent iPod users in getting ripped off by these spammers. The subject should look obvious so people won't go anywhere else.

Good idea. Time to fill it with free content:
Strip RCs/Encryption from DVDs: MacTheRipper
DVD -> AVI/OGG/MPEG4/h.264: Handbrake
AVI/DivX/WMV -> iPod: iSquint

Unfortunately, iSquint has not been updated to provide the new resolutions iPods are capable of (except in Pro mode).
