I did a search for this and got a bazillion hits, but none seem to address this directly

I'm going to be bringing a Mac to work, and it may be a Cube, which as you probably know, only has USB 1.1.

Do the current gen. iPods and iPhone sync fine over USB 1.1? I know some of the older models did, just very slowly.

I will NOT sync music at work, just contacts, iCal, and stuff like that. Oh and I'll also play music off the iPod, but won't actually transfer the files over. My music will all be housed on my Core 2 Duo iMac at home.

In theory all USB2 devices work with USB1 ports (and I haven't see any exceptions yet)... expect about 2GB/hour.

Yes they do. It's just as slow as heck. However, if you can, get a USB wall charger to charge them (or use a FireWire one if you can). USB 1 takes forever to charge.

Good thx. All I need is a bit of contact and calendar syncing, so that should be quite fast.
