Does the iTouch work with sVideo out on the dock? I have an old dock (colour iPod) and I can't get it to work. Will a newer dock work?

I also have the component leads and these work fine, however i read somewhere that the iTouch (and iPhone) only output 576i (or NTSC equivalent) whereas the iPod classic and nanno output 576p. Is this true. If so is there any likely hood apple will fix this in a firmware update?

No, it will only work with component and composite.

You're welcome. It's a bit disappointing that you have to buy new equipment, but that's the price of having the best I guess. The reason why it won't work with the old stuff is because Apple's putting a certain chip into the new Docks. If the touch, nano, or classic can't find that chip, then they won't output video.
