Hello Everyone,

I have been useing mail with one account useing POP3(my main e-mail address) then I have a Gmail account set up using POP3 as well.

I would like to be able to have access to all my mail from either the touch/iphone.
I have a lot of smart mailboxes and rules setup to sort incoming e-mail I would like those rules and smart mailboxes to continue working on my laptop but also have access to them on touch/iphone.

Thought on this.

thanks for the time

With some loud music + a friend to chat nearby you can get alot done. - but jezz, I'd avoid it if I had the choice---- If only real people came with Alpha Channels.......:)

enable IMAP on both accounts or, if your first account can't do IMAP, forward all its email to your GMAIL account (or have GMAIL check it) to take advantage of gmail's IMAP. Smart mailboxes occur client-side if configured on your computer; you won't see your filtering there until you check email from your computer. I don't know if smart mailboxes or rules sync to an iPhone or iTouch.

The iPod touch doesn't have an email program like the iPhone, but google has a nice setup for web access via the touch, so google gmail would be the best option.

You can hack your Touch to put the mail client on it, if you're so inclined.

+1 for Mobilemail. Webmail, even Gmail's iPhone interface, can be a pain. Especially if you want offline access to your messages.

+2 for Mobilemail. You have the hardware already and it only takes several minutes to get configured for using it.

There's not one for the Touch, just webmail through Safari. However, the one that we're talking about, that's installable on a Touch, is the iPhone's mail client, which is called Mobilemail. If you Google Mobilemail and iPod Touch, it should return some useful results.

Supposedly if you add Apple's Repository by the Apple Repo Team to the Installer.app source list, it'll give you a list of extra Apple apps including mobilemail. I can't verify this myself, though.

Really? If you run the installer (and are updated to 1.1.2 after jailbreaking), just add Apple's Repository by the Apple Repo Team as an additional repository and you'll find all of the iPhone 1.1.2 apps ready to go.
