Hello everyone and happy holidays,

I have a question, Does the ipod touch work with the 12" powerbook ver. A
I believe that it has USB 1.1. Which will be slow yes but will it work.

I system requirements for the touch are USB 2.0.

With some loud music + a friend to chat nearby you can get alot done. - but jezz, I'd avoid it if I had the choice---- If only real people came with Alpha Channels.......:)

Have you tried it?

Because I believe that while earlier iPods had the USB 2.0 requirement on the box, these new ones actually WON'T work with USB 1.1.

I haven't confirmed this myself yet, though.

You belief is incorrect.
Mine works in the original USB port of a Sawtooth and it also works in the USB2 port of the PCI card in the same machine.

Your Milage May Vary. Apart from speed, USB1.1 and the later USB2.0 spec have differing power levels. USB2 provides a little more power. So, it might work, it might not. Depends. This has been my experience on a few older iMacs and 'Books. Often it works, but doesn't charge properly.
