My iPod, which previously connected and synced to my Thinkpad PC, has stopped connecting. Another iPod connects just fine however.

What can I try to get the iPod to connect to the PC? The connecting jack appears intact on the iPod. Ideas? Thanks.

I simultaneously pressed the Menu and the center select buttons and held them for a few seconds. This reset the iPod and now it's working fine.

Yep, that's pretty much the first thing to do when it sort of disappears or doesn't show up in the first place. My son's 30G Classic gave him fits for a while when he tried to sync it to his PC. I reset it and it "just worked." Cool, no?
