Hi all
I'm writing from Australia - found you on a google search (apps design for ipod). My job is in the coaching field (sports) - and I want to be able to use the IPOD touch as a storage/viewing device for a sport/coaching curriculum.
Not being vary savvy in this area - after some google research I;ve found out a little about apps - jailbreaking - and more importantly, the news that apple will be coming out with the SDK for the ipod this year.
I am not sure where to start with this - google has led me to you - I am looking for someone who will be able to custom design an app for me that I can load onto the IPOD touch to access my coaching materials in much the same way as one does on a DVD. That same kind of interface - is what I am looking for. Basically my coaching materials are about 120 MP4 movie files - that I want to ORGANIZE on ipods for other hundreds of other coaches in my industry.
I apologize for wasting your time here (if that be the case) - so is this something that someone here can do or is interested in doing - or should I chase up some tech person in India or something ...
Many thanks in advance,
Best wishes from downunder,
John Will

Maybe I'm missing something, but why don't you just pop them in iTunes and load them on the iPod like normal videos? What do you need an app for?

Yeah, what kind of interface to the videos do you want exactly? And why doesn't the regular touch interface for video work for you?

So is this a job offer?
I don't really understand what you are looking to find here and if its for hundreds of other coaches maybe you need to pool your resources to get this project done.

iMove 08 makes this trivial.

Select your clips from the Event Library, drag them into the Project Library, Share to iTunes.

Sych your iPod with iTunes.

Done

No custom programming needed.

Macs are neat that way.

He might not have a Mac. He has an iPod touch. Those work with that other operating system too.
I'm on MacNN forums, but no longer have a Mac...
