I have an album which has different artists ' tracks mixed.

So under Artists menu there are now many artists which have only one track.
I read somewhere that if I tag the tracks from the album as a compilation, those artists will disappear from "Artists" menu and a compilation under "compilations" menu will appear. But it seems to not work.

Is there a way to do so? Five or ten such CDs inported and Igot a very long list of Artists which I don't need.

Only suggestion I have is to search Apple's iTunes Discussion Boards.

With situations such as this I do this:
(Its somewhat time consuming but it gets the desired result)
I append the artist to the track name separated by a hyphen and change artist to "Various Artists" then just give them all the same album name.
This way, you still know the artist but they remain grouped together instead of having a ton of one track artist listings.

This requires you to use the browser, but go to:

Preferences > General > Group Compilations while browsing.

Now multi-edit the songs you want so that they are "Yes" for Compilation.

They'll still show up in the library, but in the browser, they won't show up individually - only under "Compilations." Here's an example of Zūri Nest still being in my library, but not showing up between Zox and 윤도현 in my browser - it instead shows up under "Compilations":

Hope this is what you're after.
