I've read a bit about Coverflow on the iPod Classic having issues involving duplicate cover-art entries for individual albums. Have firmware updates resolved this issue? Thanks!

Well...I bought one before I got an answer. Coverflow works fairly well and seems to be void of duplicate album art, but the UI seems fairly slow in general. The clickwheel seems to lag in receiving input, and moving backwards in menus (i.e. - clicking menu to go back one level) is particularly slow. It's updated to ver. 1.1.1. I've only played with it for about 20 minutes, so I'll give it time.

Yeah, it is a little slow. I've got a Nano and my friend has a Classic, and there is a noticeable lag. He got used to it pretty fast though and now it's not an issue for him. It's a great gadget other than that!

Yeah...I can see that once memories of my uber-responsive 5.5g 80GB model begin to fade, I'll really enjoy this model. I just can't get over how much of my music collection I can fit on this thing. It's fairly ridiculous that I can carry nearly 150GB in my pocket. Now, I just hope they release another FW update to make it a little more responsive. I know they've already done this once, but I want the sportscar-like control of the 5.5g. ::begs apple::
