So i got a new 32GB touch yesterday, been using it for about a day now, and am having some problems, any of these common?

I loaded it FULL last night with music, seemed like it took FOREVER, granted it was 30 gigs, but it was much slower (per song) than it would take on my 5G 30GB, or my wifes 4GB nano.

Also, it seems to just randomly go back to the home screen at random times, but pretty consistently. If music is playing at the time, the music will stop when it switches back to the home screen. have noticed this in safari, maps, and while browsing coverflow, probably at other times too, but those are the most commonly used items at this point.

Anyone else experiencing any of this?

Sorry cant be of any help - my Touch is working fine although it does seem to take longer to transfer files onto the Touch than my Nano.

This is happening to me today still, i flip through albums in coverflow, select a album, pick a song, the song plays about .5 seconds, stops, and then goes back to the home screen. A reset temporarily fixes this, but im sure it will happen again.

What should i do?

sounds like your music app is crashing from some reason... try restoring your iPod.

What kinda of usb connection are you using?
With some loud music + a friend to chat nearby you can get alot done. - but jezz, I'd avoid it if I had the choice---- If only real people came with Alpha Channels.......:)

Definitely take it to the Apple Store... If it's a lot of trouble, they might just hand you a new one.
