Can anyone tell me how to control my imac with my touch from another location? I know absolutely zero about VPN.

You'll have to jailbreak it. VNsea works pretty well - available on Installer.app.

I'm not sure what you're exactly asking for instructions on but once you install VNsea, it's very easy to setup.

In your sharing preferences, turn on Remote Management (Setup the options however you want).
Click 'Computer Settings' and check the 'VNC Viewers may control screen' option then put a password in the field next to it.
In VNC, tap the + button to add a server. Enter the IP address of your computer and the password you entered in the previous step. The name doesn't matter.
Tap save, then tap the name of your saved server.
It should connect.

If you're connecting from outside your LAN, you may need to setup port forwarding on your router to make it work.
