my iPhone with firmware 1.1.3 has a weird quirk in the SMS app.

in my old iphone (which had the 1.1.1 firmware) messages used to arrange themselves in sequential order. like if i sent message to person a at 5:15:45 and person a replied at 5:15:55, they would be in that order.

but in my new iphone the sequential arrangement only works if the messages are in sperate minutes. for example - if i sent a message to person A at 5:15:45 and person A replied at 5:15:55 the reply would come in above the original message. and even in the one line preview (which is supposed to be the latest message) in list mode, it would show the message sent by me and not the reply. but if person A only replied at 5:16, it would be perfectly normal.

But the worst part is that this doesn't happen all the time. So it becomes hard to identify a pattern.

Is this a problem being experienced by other 1.1.3 users too or just a quirk specific to my phone ? are there any fixes for it ?(other than a restore which i'm very reluctant to do, coz i'd have to spend hours putting all my content and apps back in)

I think it is a generic problem with 1.1.3 because i experience that problem as well. it dosnt happen too often becuase i usually dont get back to txt that quickly, but if i send one to someone and they reply within the minute this problem does happen. So dont reset your phone, your not the only one.
