2G Nano dead?

My trusty green 2G ipod nano came out of my pocket this afternoon with a blank screen. At first I thought it must have gone flat (it was about half full this morning), but plugging it in to recharge has no result. I left it charging for a while and it felt slightly warm (but so slightly that it might have been my imagination).

Any tips or tricks to bring it back from the grave?

Tried resetting it? Sometimes they freeze while the screens are off and appear dead without a lot of cajoling.

Maybe so. Warranty? eBay? The iTouch rocks.

If you need an excuse, I'd take it. The Touch is the best iPod I've ever owned.
