Physically go to a different place (in the UK, of course). If you're in South London, go to North London. The iPhone bases your location on a lot of things, but it starts with a basic triangulation system using cell tower signal levels, so moving to a different physical location should change that drastically.

If it doesn't give you something more reasonable, go to where you got the phone and have THEM explain it to you. Seriously, this could wind up being a problem for you, so if it doesn't start acting like it is showing you your real location, get it looked at.

ok...

i moved out of the area, it worked, but went back home, guess what im back in canada... why is this? is it due to the signals going straight over me? i live about 20meters from a cliff bottom, and the phone tower is ontop of it?

More likely there's something odd about the particular phone tower and the carrier that uses it. I'd think that being able to be in Canada at home and in England by going a few dozen meters out your door would be a cool trick.

This is something to bring to your phone carrier's attention-doubtless other high-end phones with localization capabilities are going to have some issues with your specific location as well.
