hey folks! a couple of weeks ago i updated my iTunes to version
7.6.1.9 for Windows. after that i plugged/sync'ed my ipod and added/removed music the same way i've always been doing since i first got it. when i proceeded to properly eject it and use it, immediately the battery meter would show that it was about 80% charged when just a few seconds prior (plugged into the usb) the screen showed i had full 100% charge. i thought that was weird, but went on to try to use it anyway.
now when i picked a song to play, the ipod then went into sleep mode or looked like it wanted to reset itself. it was hard to tell at first because the backlight had shut off but i could see a faint apple logo like it does when you reset it. i tried doing a hard reset and could feel the drive spin but the backlight would still be off and stuck on the apple screen. when the ipod stays locked in this mode the only way to bring it out is to plug it into my wall adapter.
again, i've got a 5th gen ipod firmware v1.3. i also upgraded my iTunes to the latest
7.6.2.9 last night, but that did not help my current situation. i was wondering if anyone out there is experiencing or has had this problem and how did you fix it?
