I have just purchased unlocked i-phone which does work on the telstra network but i cant get any of the internet functions to work eg.gps,safari,utube,maps and internet.Does anyone know how to get these working !!!! Thks

i went into telstra shop he said something was missing in the i-phone to make it work cant remember what tho...Do u think it should work ?

I bought it off ebay not from telstra..do u know if this would work off australian networks ?or is would it only be configured for usa ?

I'm guessing that whatever was used to unlock it broke the features; either that or the fact that since Apple hasn't released the iPhone in Australia yet.

I would doubt that the "GPS" function would work since it uses triangulation of known Wi-Fi hotspots and cell tower locations. There is no true GPS receiver in the 1st generation iPhone.

Aren't Australian networks 3G? The iPhone is GSM.

If Australian networks are 3G, the iPhone should still be online through GPRS, no?
