I have question I have not been able to have answered anywhere. I want to get the new 3G iPhone next month. I want to give my 16gb iPhone to a friend of mine. Can I keep my same phone number and how would he be able to reactivate it with a new number etc?

Yes, you can keep your number. Your friend would just need to obtain a SIM card from AT&T (they charge for them, but not much).
