issues with reseting contacts on mobile me

Dear all

I am having issues reseting the contacts on my mobile me. I tried first to sync from my computer to the cloud, but when I go to my mobile me page the content have not changed. Then I tried deleting all content form mobile me. After I have selected the whole lot and pressed the delete button for a second the list gets cleared and then suddenly all the entries once again appear. Even when I delete a single entry after a second or so it gets re-added to the list.

Any suggestions. Where is the data stored on mobileme so I can go and delete it.

PS is anybody finding iphone 2 operating system slower to respond than version 1.x
