I have no idea if this is even possible. Could anyone just lead me in the right direction on how to do this. It would be much appreciated. Are there prepaid SIM cards? How could i go about doing this?

http://www.gsmworld.com/roaming/gsminfo/cou_kr.shtml

Shows that there are two providers of GSM roaming in south Korea.

It seems that many travelers just rent a phone locally for a few dollars rather than your unlocking the iphone for use on another carrier, activating a prepay sim, etc.
