Does the new iphone 2.0 and itunes . whatever allow normal manual cantrol of putting things off and on the iphone like all other ipods ?

Yes you can manually manage everything, have it synch automatically or not, etc. No options were removed with the new updates.

Well just so I am not confused. I know that I could not do this before 2.0 as it was not a feature, or it was locked. I am glad to hear that it is a feature now. Thank you.

Ah sorry I didn't initially realize exactly what your question was.

As of iPhone firmware 1.1.3 and iTunes 7.6, you have been able to manually manage music (drag and drop things from the iTunes library to the iPod). This feature is carried over to the new firmware and the latest iTunes (7.7).

You were correct to ask because when the iPhone came out this was not an option. It is now.
