I was loading some music on to my iPod.
I disconnected the iPod. It went dark. I tried to start it, and it will not go on.
What gives?

What have you tried? Have you plugged it in to power? To iTunes? There is a reason why the iPod screen says "Do not disconnect" while syncing.
