Remote for the iPhone has stopped working. iTunes sees it for pairing and when I type in the code, iTunes says this remote can control iTunes.
However it doesn't work, as the app doesn't see the library. It looks for it but never finds it. It was working fine yesterday. I have my System Preferences --> Security --> Firewall set to "Allow all incoming connections" if that makes any difference.
This is very, very annoying. I tried reboots of both the iPhone and the Mac, and I even tried deleting and reinstalling Remote. No luck.

I am not alone with this problem.
BTW, Connect360 doesn't work either. Did I royally futz up the firewall or permissions somehow? I also tried repairing permissions (and then rebooting) but it didn't help.
I had been playing with filesharing settings yesterday and I wonder if that killed the functionality of Remote. However, filesharing works fine with my Macs as currently set (AFP). I had it set for SMB, but then turned it back to AFP, with no luck for iTunes Remote. I also tried turning on AppleTalk in the network prefs, but that did nothing.
I'm now downloading the 10.5.4 OS X combo update to reinstall that to see if that will do anything.
EDIT:
Come to think of it, it probably wasn't the filesharing settings, because I was playing with those yesterday, and Remote worked fine when I tried it this morning. But it just doesn't work now for whatever reason.

Reinstalled iTunes 7.7 and Mac OS X 10.5.4's Combo Update.
Still doesn't work.
"Could not find Library" despite the fact the iPhone pairs just fine with iTunes.

Check out the comments. Doesn't work for some of them either.
I have tried giving iTunes an exception, and turning off the Firewall completely. No luck.
The weird part is it worked today once when I got home... and then stopped working again. However, the time between it working and not working again I had changed nothing on my computer... because I hadn't even touched it yet.

I rebooted the phone, iMac and router all at the same time, and that solved the problem (after I made sure all the settings were correct too).
Make sure your Mac firewall is configured to allow iTunes traffic, at System Preferences / Security / Firewall. If you "Allow only essential services" then it may not work. You need to set it either for "Allow all incoming connections" or "Set access for specific services and applications".
Also, if iTunes is not active on your Mac, then it won't work either.
