I blocked data on my account by calling up Fido and having them block it at their end. However, has anyone tried this configuration patch on a locked iPhone 3G without jailbreaking?

Just out of curiosity, why do want to block data on the iPhone?

I don't have a data plan at the moment, and pay per use is $50 per MB.

(I'll get the plan soon enough though. The iPhone without on-the-go data is obviously not ideal.)
