Hi All,

For some reason, push email has stopped working (MobileMe, iPhone 3G). Just when I'd gotten used to it...

I've checked that "Fetch New Data" is set to push, and that my MobileMe account is also set to push (this is the "advanced" setting under "Fetch New Data" in Settings on my phone).

Anyone else have this problem? Is there something that I need to reset online (in my MobileMe account)?

Thanks for any help,

Chas

Switch the MobileMe push/fetch setting on the iPhone to "fetch," perform a manual fetch, then go back to "push." I had the same problem earlier this week, and that seemed to fix it.

I'm hoping that 2.1 will include this in the list of bugs fixed.

I seem to have had a similar problem. I have 6 e-mail accounts and they were all working great on my new iPhone with automatic push through MobileMe, and for some reason all e-mail on the phone just stopped working this morning around 9am EST. I can't send or receive mail now on the iPhone. The wheel just spins when I try it.

Thanks for the replies.

frdmfghtr: I'm afraid that the fix didn't work. I did have high hopes though, many thanks.

ghouser: any changes for you?

I'm having trouble with the .mac smtp service on my desktop machine (it's only worked once in the last week, otherwise I have to use my ISPs stmp server).

I'm sure that these mobileme teething problems will one day be a thing of the past, I just wish I was more patient ;-)

Cheers!

Chas
