I have had my iphone first generation for over a year, and it is not covered under a warranty. It has suddenly started having trouble connecting to the AT&T network when I am in areas that don't have a ton of cellphone towers. I live in NYC, so I'm used to having coverage most places, but now it seems to only connect in places such as Times Square, but not places like Astoria Queens or the East Village. I have already visted the Apple Store once and they told me to get my SIM card replaced, which I did, but it failed to fix the problem. I have an appointment to take it to the apple store again in a few days, but I'm afraid that they will charge me $200 to fix it and make me send it away for repair. Does anyone on the forum know of this problem and what my best course of action might be?
