How do you know when a calendar alarm has gone off on an ipod touch? Is there a speaker on it?

I thought maybe all the sound went thru the headphone jack, and that there was no external sound.

Thanks.

Makes me wonder if you could play mp3s without the headphones... sounding horrible of course.

Go to your preferences button and make sure your alarms/sound is set to "ON". It isn't really loud and so it's not obnoxious either.

Sounds like the chirps my iPodNano used to make. Like previous gen iPods that had noise feedback when selecting songs, etc.
