It's only 3 weeks old, but I'm having a major problem.

Basically it froze, so I tried holding down the Home button. Nothing. Then I tried resetting/restarting. Bad move. Now when the thing tries to start up, it shows the white Apple logo... forever. It is frozen in some type of startup process. I've tried resetting it at least five times in the past 5 hours, but to no avail.

And we can forget about Restoring it with iTunes. On both of my computers (MP & MBP), it either freezes iTunes when I plug it in, or iTunes musters up enough gumption to post an error that essentially states it cannot connect to the iPhone because it's jacked up.

I'd appreciate any help or suggestions...

Return it. As you have figures out by now, that behavior can't be normal.

UPDATE:

Same exact thing is happening to my wife's iPhone.

They are both synced to the same iTunes library, so they have the same apps installed. Could something from the app store have corrupted them this badly?
