I've been having this issue for a while now, but it's starting to really annoy me. My iPod touch does not correctly sync podcasts with iTunes. It wasn't so bad when I listened to only audio podcasts, but I've been putting politcal debates and speeches on it, meaning my meager free space is gone. No matter what my settings are in iTunes, it still syncs all of my podcasts. Everytime I apply new settings and sync, it still puts the old podcasts on. I want it to sync only the 5 most recent episodes of one podcast, not all of my episodes of every podcast. Anybody have any suggestions? Restoring the iPod and reinstalling iTunes does absolutely nothing. (iPod touch with 2.1, iTunes 8.0.1, I've been having this issue since 1.1.4 and iTunes 7.6 though)

You noted you've had the problem since 7.6. I don't pay attention to the versions, but I do think this problem only cropped up more recently (Had an iPod for 2 years). SO I think think we're screwed til some point release magically fixes the issue.

Well I had noticed it earlier this spring, but didn't really care since all I had was audio podcasts, but with video podcasts it's taking up every free mb I have on my iPod. I don't want to delete this stuff off my Mac.

I haven't tried this workaround, since it would remove things I want kept, but if you can, try unchecking them and the don't sync uncheck feature.

I'll be impressed if they still make it on then.

I have that issue with everything, not just podcasts.

Took my iPod into the Genius Bar today. They gave me a new touch. Didn't change a thing. At least I'm under warranty until October 2010 now
