Just got one of those newfangled ipod nano (4g?) - was noticing that when it was recharging - there was this odd tingling sensation on the lower back part of the aluminum casing.....is this bad? Has anyone else noticed this?

How are you charging it? With the AC adapter or with a Mac?

On a portable Mac?

Is the Mac grounded, i.e. are you using the duckbill adapter (two prongs) or the cable (with ground). If it's the former, try switching to a grounded connection to see if it goes away. To me it sounds like you feel trickle current due to an ungrounded case.

I'm also in HK and using the british 3 prong adapter...will check it out when I get back to the States.

Sure. If you use the two-prong duckbill nothing's grounded.

Also, ground wiring can be faulty. Just because you use the three-prong cable doesn't necessarily mean your MBP (and the attached iPod) are properly grounded.

Just sounds to me like it is vibrating a bit. Explaining the vibration is a different case.
