Hi
I recently purchased a new MB at education discount - and I got an iPod Nano too - I'm eligible for a £95 rebate. At the "submit your rebate" form - I'm a tad stuck at an option now. I must fill in both of these fields, and if I hit the "no" option I get a message stating: "EAN's are Required. If you are submitting a claim without an EAN as it was submitted with another promotion, you must enclose the reference number". Which do I choose for which product?
Eligible Apple Computer
Are you enclosing EAN's for this product? *
No
Yes
EAN's are Required. If you are submitting a claim without an EAN as it was submitted with another promotion, you must enclose the reference number.
Eligible iPod
Are you enclosing EAN's for this product? *
No
Yes
If yes for either - what exactly do I type?
Thanks.
PS. My receipt is an e-mailed one. Do I really have to mail the actual part numbers printed on the product box to get my rebate? Was hoping to sell the iPod as brand new..

Of course, you need to click "Yes" in both cases, otherwise you won't be able to fill the claim.
What do you mean by "If yes for either - what exactly do I type? "
What does it ask for ?
The EAN's ?
Do you have to submit them as a cut out from the box ?
I'd suggest you take a deep breath, and re-read all the instructions.

Took a re-read and a few things seem clearer - but there's an area I'm still clouded on. Are Apple solely looking for the part number or the whole label? I don't fancy sending the entire label because it contains the specifications etc which will be handy for extra assurance to a buyer if I ever hoose to sell - not to mention having Airport / Ethernet / Bluetooth ID. This is the Apple image:

Apple is most likely looking for the EAN / UPC as well as serial#.
Again, READ what the instructions say. If they say to cut out the whole bar code label, better do it.
Or do you want to risk not getting that rebate ?
What I did before when selling items like this: made a b/w copy of the label and taped it on the box over the hole is. But I'd also put a clear disclaimer in my listing, saying that the item is missing the original UPC.

Thanks - guess I'll just cut the whole thing off! If I ever do sell I will of course mention it heh (would be mean not to!) Read through the instructions but didn't say specifically what is after (I assumed that would be everything but when I saw that image with only the part number highlighted it aroused questions)
Thanks a lot, not worth screwing up a £95 rebate!

You could also call Apple and ask for clarification.
I'd just cut out the whole thing, make a copy (as I always do anyways for MIR submissions), and be done with it.

Yeah cut the whole thing and sent it off today ... apparently it's "up to 4-6 weeks" for it to come through - still; thanks for your help.
