Does anyone know how much in terms of resources the mobile musicplayer (aka ipod) on the iphone 3g sucks up? I noticed that most of my performance issues and crashes (extreme keyboard lag, maps & safari, etc. ) mainly occur while I'm running a podcast or playing music in the background.
The iphone supposedly has a powerful CPU but a relatively low amount of system RAM, so maybe the ipod function of the iphone is just a big RAM hog? The 2g iphone didn't seem to have this issue.
