It's expensive, but it looks good, esp with the extra mini USB port for charging something else (such as a BT headset!).

I've tried it. At home I have a harmon/kardon go-play and a Bose SoundDock. It's nice to be able to use the iPhone 3G on these without having to charge separately.

With it attached to the iPhone it fits nicely on the harmon/kardon, but on the Bose SoundDock it stands up too far. I use one of the (CableJive) dock extender cables for that setup so the iPhone doesn't have to sit so far up on the Bose. Works nicely.

It looks like CableJive has a new charge converter, smaller form factor and seems to fit nicer with the latest generation iPod and iPhone.

It's $6 cheaper than the original one, but doesn't have the mini-USB on the side. Not sure how much that USB is a selling point.

I got my hands on one of these, it fits much nicer for my setup than the first version.
