I don't know if it's my 5th Gen iPod or the earplugs, but I can no longer raise the volume of my songs or podcasts. Everything sounds like it's at half volume but the blue bar is completely full across the screen.

The reason I think the earbuds could be the culprit is that when I plugged them into the gizmo at my gym that lets you listen to the tv sets while on the workout equipment I could barely hear the sound there also.

I have checked my volume control setting on the ipod and it's on all the way.

Any ideas?

Thanks--

Also make sure the jack is fully plugged in. If it isn't, you could be getting less signal to the earphones, even though you're getting both Left and Right channels.
