Ive forgotten how to see this: while my iPod is UDB'd in and charging I cant see the battery level on the Pod.
is there a way to see its charge in iTunes or another method?
thanks and cheers to all!

As long as you have the latest version of iTunes installed, all you have to do is open it up and it should show the iPod in the source list with the battery indicator. I'm not sure what version exactly started that, but I love it.

i did as you suggested, but it doesn't show an indicator for the battery at least in the default.
if I click on the iPod on the devices list I see a Summary: iPod,version.options the music/photos/contacts.
at the bottom of the summary there is a capacity bar, thats it.
its weird because I remember it somewhere. as you can guess I havent used my pods in a while!
cheers and thanks

The indicator only appears for the latest iPod models. Even on the latest iTunes version my 5G video and 2G nano don't have it. My 3G iPhone does.

You sure? My fiance has a first gen iPod Nano and the battery indicator shows up in iTunes. When she gets home later I'll try and take a screenshot if possible.
Edit: I stand corrected, it doesn't appear for her nano (she left it here after all).

It appeared on a software update to the iPod classic (6G) and iPod nano 3G, as well as iPhone and iPod touch, combined with some version of iTunes 7.
