I find the volume differences on my Touch bewildering. For example I purchased Morrison's "Moondance" and Swift's "Fearless" at the same time.

For comfortable playback Moondance requires volume setting at 50%.

However Fearless is deafening at that volume and needs to be slide down to the extreme left.

I have sound check (automatically adjusts song's playback level ..) checked.

Any ideas?

Yes. You're not crazy.

There's nothing you can do: "Fearless" has been completely ****ed up.

Also, I've often found that SoundCheck makes the problem worse, not better, so try it turned off, too.
