Can I use my iPod on both the laptop and the desktop, I have heard that it can only be used on 1 or the other.

Thanks

One or the other is correct.

No, Apple doesn't offer that sort of effortless integration. Sync to one or the other.

Boy that sucks, because sometimes I have the laptop, and sometimes I am at home and on the desktop.

Well, I guess if that is the way it has to be I will have to make my mind up and decde wich one it will be, now here is another question, i have it synched to the laptop now how do I synch to the desktop and not lose the data that I have on the iPod touch.

You can't. It will erase all data on the iPod and replace it with new information and data from the new computer.

Syncing to the iTunes account would be much more efficient.
