Could someone steer me in the right direction as to finding out how to achieve this? I have 1.5 years left with Bell cellphone plan and would like to stick with it until my contract's over.

Also, what exactly would some of the ramifications be, as an iPhone user, by doing this?

Not possible, sorry. Bell uses a CDMA network, while the iPhone is exclusively GSM. Your only Canadian network option for an iPhone is currently Rogers/Fido.

The other option is to just pay off what is left off the contract...I'm not sure with bell I think max pay out for fido/rogers is $250 if I'm not wrong. Then you can just buy a brand new iphone from rogers/fido.
