I have a new generation ipod touch 32g, and have just downloaded skype app. I have a headset/ microphone set exclusively for iphones but when i plug this in and try to make a call skype tells me i need to plug in a headset or microphone to continue. I dismiss the message and complete the call and can hear the receiver but cannot be heard by them. I have also tried alternative two pronged regular headsets but again the ipod touch does not register the microphone plug (pink plug). So now having tried a one plug and two plug system, i am unsure what approach to take next. Is there a specially designed headset/microphone to use for the ipod touch?

The two-plug headsets won't work. No mic jack.

The regular iPhone headset works fine with the iPod touch.
