I have a 3rd Gen. iPod Nano, and today I bought a new backpack for school next semester that has a special audio pocket. Instead of just having a pocket with an opening to feed a headphone cord through like on most backpacks and bags, it actually has a cable you connect your iPod to in the pocket, and then has a connected headphone port on one of the shoulder straps.

So, the point I'm trying to get to is...is there a remote I can purchase for the nano so that I can leave it in the pocket and still be able to control it?

Monster Cable makes a wireless remote.

The problem with that is the cable included going from the iPod pocket to the jack sticking out of the pack is probably just an ordinary stereo cable, so the Apple Radio remote cable, nor the new remote headphone cable plug will work in those cases.
