Hello,

I have a problem with my iPod 20Gb color screen and click-wheel. A while back the battery life suddenly dropped to round about one hour, even when in sleep mode. I opened the diagnostic screen, but when I click on 'status' I get the following information:

LCD : sharp
HP : 0
FWPWR : 0
USBPWR : 1

This suggests that I am charging the battery through USB, except... I am not. I get this screen even when I unplug the USB cable. I have tried resetting the iPod, I have tried restoring the factory defaults. I even tried putting in a new battery, but the problem still remains.

Anyone have any ideas what is causing this and if it can be fixed, or do I have to buy a new MP3 player and just use this old thing as an external harddrive from now on?
