I just noticed that the little chrome surround on the headphone jack of my iphone 3g appears to be excessively worn. I have only had the phone for 6 weeks but notice that the chrome collar is worn about one third of circumference. It looks to me like wear and tear from inserting and removing headphones.

Am I being too picky or should I contact Apple and ask the to have a look at it?
