I dropped my 1st gen iphone this morning and the sleep/wake button got jammed in. So now its flush with the casing. The phone starts up and then turns off immediately unless i have it plugged in to my computer. I took it apart and looked at where the button is located but its covered in a metal casing with 2 small screws and i was wondering if there is any way this could be fixed? I'm afraid to take those screws out because i don't want to compromise my phone even more. I don't have applecare or the money to get it repaired (hoping new iphones are announced next month) Any ideas on how i could fix this myself for the time being?? Thanks.
