So I read on another forum that I can update my unlocked 2g phone with the new update and it wont foil my unlock... am i understanding this correctly? that is... i dont want jailbreak... i've pwned my phone previously... its on 2.0.1 or something...

Am i going to get flamed for asking about an unlock?

so very very impatient...

I just updated my unlocked 2G iPhone. The 'baseband' level of software in the 2G models wasn't updated, so the unlocking performed at that level continued to work just fine.

I lost my carrier settings for cellular data (found in Settings > General > Network > Cellular Data Network) so knowing your APN, name and password could be useful.
