Hello all,

I'm thinking of picking up an ipod for the car stereo, but was wondering is there anyway to also use it as a storage device in order to be able to transfer files other than music/videos from one machine to another outside of itunes?

I know old ones can do that, but I'm not sure about new ones.

Of course. All iPods, except the Touch, can mount on your desktop as a drive. For the touch, use the free app Air Sharing and connect to it wirelessly for file transfer.

I believe that you can install something on your iPhone and the iPod touch that allows you to use it as a storage device
