A coworker showed me her new Otterbox Defender case yesterday:
That's a pretty serious case!

I like my iFrogz Luxe case in blue.

And of course tooki has found the ULTIMATE iPhone case here.

I use a Belkin Silicone Sleeve.

Cheap as anything at €25.

I combined it with a cheap plastic film for the screen.

In the last year, with this case, the iPhone has survived (with only very minimal scratches to the back);

- being left on a car roof, being thrown off said roof at 40 mph and sliding along the tarmac for 15+ meters, before ending in a wet bush (yes I AM an idiot)

- Numerous drops onto concrete

- flying from an open bag into a concrete floor.

The only issues I have had with the case is that it has now stretched a little and does come off the iPhone if I leave it in a bag. Secondly, on the corners, it has begun to perish, and show cracks.

Other than the 2 issues mentioned, it is one of the best €25 I have spent, and saved the iPhone innumerable times.

I LOVE the look & feel of the iFrogz Luxe case. Ironically, I just trashed mine. The case protected my 3GS when I dropped it getting out of the car. The phone went into some landscaping rocks and the soft touch material was scratched badly. I gasp at the thought of what wouldve happened had she gone down screen first.

I will likely get another Luxe case.

Anyone use the Mophie Juice Pak Air? I want one but have read several conflicting reports about it degrading signal strength. Is this true?

I'm taking a good, serious look at this one - in combination with Zagg's Invisible Shield for the front and back.

The only problem I see is that the volume and hold buttons aren't easily accessible.

They should make cars out of that stuff.

I have no experience with the JuicePak Air, but I did buy its chief competitor, the Incase PowerSlider, which did drastically cut my cell coverage. I went from full bars to 1 or 2 at work and 1 bar to none at home. I loved the case and the concept, but ultimately had to return it.

Incase is coming out with its next version of the PowerSlider before the holidays. It will be interesting to see how or if the problem is addressed.

Ask Kenneth (@mightykenny). He has one and it doesn't seem to boost battery very much.

Thanks guys. I want one, but might change my mind now. I don't have a case for my phone, it's naked. I like the way it feels.
