I don't think any audiophiles will be much impressed by this but there is a way to get more volume out of your iPhone without plugging into anything at all.
Perhaps you have already tried this. Place your phone speaker down in an empty ceramic bowl or bell shaped glass. Try it and see. It is definitely more audible.
It is a handy trick when you need more volume but don't have anything to plug in to.
