i did not see a thread for this and i was wondering about the rumored iphone coming this march or april. if there is already a thread for this please tell me what it is.

just tell me what new things are rumored to be on the iphone and when people think it is going to come out. i need to figure out if it is better to get one right now or get the new one.

Right now, the focus of Apple rumors is much more on the pending tablet computer.
However, it is expected that there will be more information about the new OS 4.0, which will most likely make it into the next iPhone as well.

The few rumors about a April release of a new iPhone have not been very convincing and consistent.

Rumors of the new iPhone aren't very strong. Possible higher res screen, OLED screen, forward facing camera, things like that. Nothing is confirmed though.

You'd be best to wait for at least the Apple event on January 27th. The focus will be the iTablet, iWork/iLife '10, and iPhone OS 4.0 likely, but you might get some info on the next gen iPhone.

Most likely Apple will announce iPhone OS 4.0 on Jan 27. It's possible 4.0 will run on the 3G and 3GS.

I wouldn't expect new iPhone hardware to lunch launch until summer.
